A Message To Former IPY Players:

I'd like to take a moment to properly thank you for the time we spent together.

You guys made IPY the success it was, and truly showed, once and for all, that there was a demand for a classic UO server - something people, and the developers at OSI/EA, honestly disputed with me for many years before I opened the shard.

More than that, you showed that the very style of gameplay offered by the ruleset IPY honoured, the fantastic design behind early Ultima Online, is still valued by players around the world in a day and age where the market is cornered by generic EverQuest clones that offer little more than PvE treadmills and item grinds.

Early Ultima Online will always be remembered as an amazing time in gaming history for those who were lucky enough to experience it. With IPY, together, we brought that history back into the present for a short period of time. For some of us to refresh our love of the game, and for others to experience it for the first time.

Thank you for making an important chapter in MMO gaming history the biggest success of its kind there ever has been,
